There are at least 2000 young carers in Sheffield.  A young carer is a young person who looks after someone who is physically or mentally ill, disabled or misusing substances such as drugs or alcohol.  A young carer might help them in lots of ways, like doing housework, shopping or cooking, or being the person who listens to their problems and keeps them company.

Sheffield First Partnership is writing a Carers Strategy which is something to make people support all carers better and they want to know your views on how things could be improved.
