Ready For Action

ImageCHAPS, a Department of Health funded partnership of community-based organisations, have launched the second edition of 'Ready For Action' a booklet that provides clear information and facts about what makes sex more or less risky for gay and bisexual men.

Over the next few weeks, copies of this booklet will be distributed in venues across the city, alternatively you can click here to dowload a pdf version.

 
The Arse Class

ImageGMFA's popular 'The Arse Class' is taking place in Sheffield on Saturday the 13th February 2010.

This one day course will give men an opportunity to learn how to keep sex fun, safe, pain free and pleasurable. The training will be delivered in a fun and informative setting - with plenty of opportunities for discussions.

All places on the course are free of charge and the day will start at 10.00am to finish at 5.00pm.

Biology of Transmission

ImageTerrence Higgins Trust and CHAPS have launched the facts-based programme, Biology of Transmission, looking at the factors involved in the transmission of HIV during unprotected anal sex.

50Plus Online Questionnaire

Terrence Higgins Trust is working with Age Concern and Help the Aged to find out the needs and concerns of people aged over 50 who are living with HIV. The findings of the research, titled 50Plus, will be made available to services for older people, and services for people with HIV, to help develop appropriate support. An online questionnaire has been set up which asks a series of questions about your life, your hopes and your concerns. It’s completely anonymous unless you choose to provide further details, and there is a prize draw for two participants, randomly drawn, who will each get £100 of shopping vouchers.

Anti-Homophobic Film Clip Competition

The competion invites you to produce a film clip with a positive message against homophobic bullying to win great prizes and get your message heard across the country!

The clip needs to have a maximum length of 3 minutes and can be recorded on: mobile phone/webcam/DV-camcorder/digital camera. The deadline for submissions is the 28th February 2010

Sheffield Doc/Fest 4-8th November 2009
